So I basically keep my Macbook Air in clamshell mode (using NoSleep) with it connected to an external monitor via DisplayPort to HDMI. After periods of inactivity, my monitor auto shuts off. When I return, I turn my monitor back on and press any key on the keyboard. 8/10, everything is back up and running with no issues. The other 2 times, I get a black, blank screen, on both the external and Macbook screen if I open it. The only way to bring anything back up is to perform a hard shutdown and reboot.

Could the NoSleep application be causing this issue? Is there any other way I can keep my MBA in clamshell mode without this app? I had an old MBP which I could do this without any 3rd party app. Anyone else experiencing this?
