Intermittent issues with Office Mac Outlook

I admit, I am new to the Mac, but used Outlook on PCs for several years. Yesterday, I began to have problems with outgoing mail. I have searched the forums and found no help (here and on the Microsoft site). My issue is that frequently, I will send an email, and get this error message: "Error -50. Mail cannot be sent due to unresolved recipients."

I can find no reference to Error 50 or unresolved recipients. Does anyone have any ideas?
