I just got a new TV (Sony Bravia). With my previous TV (Sharp Aquos), this didn't happen. This started happening with my new TV Set up.
My Apple TV is connected to my Onkyo Receiver. I can stream ATV through my TV and listen to it in stereo. With my previous setup, I could airplay music from my macbook and listen with the TV turned off with no problems. With my current setup, music will cut out and I will get intermittent silence with a "no signal" displaying on my receiver for those few seconds. If the TV is on, I have no interruptions when playing music from my macbook.
First I had ARC enabled on my TV so I could listen to smart apps in stereo. I thought that was the culprit so I disabled ARC and got an optical cable. Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem. Any ideas how I can fix this? I don't want to play the TV if I'm not watching it.
