Strange and vexing problem with Macbook Pro m1 max (64, 4tb) along with Eizo EV3285 and Caldigit TS4.

TB4 Caldigit cable connecting TS4 to MBP.

Eizo USB C cable from Monitor to MBP.

Every three days or so I have to reboot thecomputer (which is no big deal, to be sure) because the monitor standby doesn’t click in: screen saver continues ad infinitum.

My initial reaction was to blame the Caldigit (because everyone blames it for every problem). But I often travel to another location and take the Caldigit and MBP with me. That location has an identical Eizo EV3285.

There isn’t a problem with the second Eizo going into standby.

I have searched for a setting on the first Eizo without success.

BTW, all the cables are the same carried as well with the equipment to the second location.

I never put the MBP into sleep because of potential problems with the Caldigit.

Any thoughts? And I thank you in advance.

got Eizo help today. They told me how to put the monitor into administrative settings. Where i was told to change compatibility setting to off.

I'll report this coming week if this works.
