Intermittently I get a USB is disabled it is drawing too much power. All of my ports are used but I am trying to figure out a remedy for this. I have two powered external Hard Drives going to USB A ports. 1 HDMI out and 1 USB-C out to 2 different monitors, a wireless mouse using a USB-C Adapter to its USB-A transmitter, a USB-C Adapter to a webcam using its USB-A cord, and my iPad plugged in using a USB-C to Thunderbolt cord.

It is a Mac mini 2018

SO I bought a Powered USB-A Hub (3Amps) and plugged my 2 hard drives into it and my webcam into it and plugged the Hub into 1 of the A ports and then I then plugged my mouse receiver into the other A port. Kept the HDMI and USB-C Video and then used a USB - C to lightning for iPad and it seems to be working. Leaves 2 USB-C ports open

I too have recently been experiencing this issue.
My set up -- MacBook Air 2018 with 30 watt power supply that came with the Mac.
I have a USB Hub that has my external hard drive connected for Time Machine. On the remaining Thunderbolt Port on my MacBook Air 2018 I connected to my iPhone 11 Pro Max and it charges.

I wonder, if I buy a higher wattage power supply from Apple, will that make a difference?

It might. What I would probably do is buy a powered USB Hub with at least 3Amps. They are relatively cheap.

BTW no issues at all since I did this.
