I have a (almost) 2 year old Macbook SR. I'm running the latest version of Leopard. Its been fine until the last couple of months, when for no apparent reason wifi has started to hang. It's really strange - some websites load fast, others will hang and timeout.

I tried changing DNS servers to openDNS and that didn't work.

I tried changing routers but the same problem has arisen on 3 different routers.

My PC, on the same network, works fine.

The only thing that works is changing the channel of the router, but only for a while, then its back to before.

So I've gone from blaming my ISP to blaming my router, to blaming my neighbours, and now, well I think maybe I should blame the current version of leopard!

Does anyone have similar experiences? I'm not very technical, so I'm a bit scareed of doing a whole reinstall of the operating system, but perhaps this is the only thing left to do?

All help greatly appreciated.

*shameless bump*

Is there anything else left for me to try other than reinstall Leopard?

An unsecured network may work

Try turning off off your router's security options for a while and see if the problem goes away. Then work you way through the simplest security options.
