Intermittent Wireless Connectivity Using USB Network Adapter

I've been using a wireless adapter to connect a PC and a
laser printer to my Apple based network.

The laser printer is always available but the PC only shows
up occasionally. I am not making any changes to cause it
to show up when it decides to.

Any ideas on such an intermittent problem?

Maybe the USB Network Adapter is defective.
