Internal Blu-Ray, Dual SSD's, or Fusion?

I have the cMBP i5 2012, I already have an SSD installed with 8gb of 1867mhz ram. I am looking to do something with the optical drive but I am just not sure what yet. What do most mac users do with their ODDs?
 
Also, with this blu-ray player I wont be able to burn or rip blu-ray's correct?
