Hello there, run into a trouble for the first time since 2013 with my MBP, and at this point I'm not sure on how to proceed : any other similar post in the net, describe close but not quite the same problem I have...
My MBP late 2013/512 GB SSD/16GB RAM with Mojave remained powerless for about 40 days after being put on sleep mode ( lid closed ).
When I try to boot it then , after being plugged to the power and, now, fully charged, it boots normally and I get to the login page ( I can see my profile, my wife's, it is even connected to wi-fi).
When I click on anything ( profile, wifi, restart, shutdown ecc ) it goes into beachball and there it stays for about 10 minutes then an endless spinning wheel appears.
I've tried to reset nvram, SMC, and sometimes even the mouse remains unresponsive after boot ( can "revive" it with SMC reset, tho), but in any case I can alway reach the login screen.
Now the fun part :
1) Booted in safe mode with shift pressed, same result, with beachball as soon as i clicked on anything, then after few minutes, endless spinning wheel.
2) Booted in diagnostic mode ( "D" pressed"), the result is : "NO issue found" Reference code ADP000
3) Boot loading the internal utility ( Command-R) and then the disk utility : the internal disk is not even seen!! I can see the 2 GB MacOS Base System but no 512 GB internal SSD disk. Even switching to CLI I got the same result.
4) I have a CCC backup on an external sata disk; hooked it via USB, then booted it; it worked fine and could login, but also in this case neither CCC can see any target disk for the restore, nor the disk utility can find any disk apart from the external USB one
At this point...I'm helpless as I believe I've tried almost everything in my power : what is driving me mad is that when I turn the MBP on, it does boot !! No "folder with question mark" in the middle of the screen, it just goes straight to the login screen...and as it has TeamViewer installed, I can even see it appearing on the connectable systems in TV list on a PC ( although I fail to connect ) !
Any help is appreciated, as my MBP was an ideal companion for my Synths and music..
Thank you !!
Andrea
