I just got a New Mac Pro 8 Core 2.8 w/30" ACD last night at the Apple Store.
I understand that this question has been asked a million times but I'm just going to be honest and admitt that I really dont understand all the "lingo".
eSATA, RAID 0, 5, or 10??
What does all this mean to me?
Since I'm starting fresh any advice on the best way for me to build internal storage so that I dont waste my money (spent $6K last night).
I'm starting up a Wedding Video Business.
My New Mac Pro replaces my iMac with 4 external 500GB FW800 Hard Drives.
I have the New Sony HVR-HD1000u that I plan to import via HDMI (need to purchase the Black Magic Intensity Pro Card) into my new Mac Pro..
Do I "need" a RAID? I have NO idea what it is anyways - coming from a modest imac with a bunch of external Hard Drives - I'm new to all the "Lingo" - Any help would be greatly appreciated.
