Internal Hard Drives

I am trying to replace the internal hard drive on my iMac G3 350. I have another drive (20 gb?) in a pc that i have. its an old dell with 2000, probably around the same time period as the iMac. Can I just throw the HD from that in there and erase and reinstall OSX by booting from the CD? Or do hard drives from PCs not work in macs?

Also if anyone knows a good tutorial for exchanging hard drive in iMac 350s that would be great.
