Resolved Internal microphone not recording

I tried to record using Audacity and GarageBand. Each program just recorded silence. I also restarted the computer and tried to record using Audacity, but it still won't record.

By the way, I use Audacity 2.0.6.0 on OS X v 10.10.

I found the solution here. I went to System Preferences->Sound, and then adjusted the input volume. Only heaven knows what caused the input volume to be as low as it was.
