Hi all,

I have been using the SYBA SI-PEX40064 ( Marvell 88SE9215 chipset) in my Mac Pro 5,1 running OSX 10.8.5. I have all my drives (3) connected to it, and all is well.

Recently, I tried to do a clean install of 10.9.3 (via USB stick). I get to the installer, but none of the drives attached to the card show up (even in Disk Utility).

Based on my limited research, it appears that Apple dropped support for certain controllers after 10.9.1.

So my question is, can someone recommend a SATA card to me that is similar to the one I have, that will work out of the box with 10.9.3 (and is bootable)?

Thanks in advance!

I tried the PEX40058 card as well --- also a failure. I'd be real interested to know which SATA controller chips 10.9.3 supports out of the box....

Worst case, I'll just go back to OSX 10.8.5 --- that worked like a champ.
