Hi,
I don't know which to choose here:
500gb 5400rpm $90 5400rpm
320gb 7200rpm $787200rpm
How is the batter life & how warm does the 7200rpm run?
Thanks.

Hands down the 7200 RPM. You will have some tingle in your notebook but it's a fast drive and really smokes the 5400 RPM. I would sacrifice some space for speed because there are so many ways (wired and wireless) to store data these days.

Seagate costs $145, not much of the savings :)
I'm a WD fan, ordered the 320gb 7200rpm, $78
Thanks for the input.

I'm running a Scorpio Black 320 GB myself, and I appreciate it a lot more now after temporarily running on my backup that was saved to a Scorpio Blue 320 GB.

Everything just booted soooo much slower on my backup drive.

I keep hearing mixed reviews about the Seagate 7200.4, so I think I'll just wait until WD comes out with a Scorpio Black 500 GB (hopefully soon).
