I live in the US, but will soon be going abroad to Sydney, Australia for 6 months. I have applecare purchased in the US. If my macbook pro dies while there, can I simply take it to an apple store in Sydney and have them fix it there? Thanks!

Yes. Speaking to agreement admin regarding AppleCare, they also said that in an event that you do suffer hardware problems, your MacBook Pro might have to be shipped to the States and then back to you in Australia. It sounds like a lot of time wasted but that's what I've been told. If it's something like a failed HDD, I'm pretty sure an Apple Store can take care of that.

pretty lame considering the only different part is probably just the keyboard
