International Calls to iPhone Dropped

I have received calls from international lines (due to the holidays) and as soon as I answer the call on my iPhone 3G, the call is dropped. I slide the answer button over and as soon as I do, I hear the click of a disconnected call. Most of the calls are coming from Skype. I have read about the Skype app in the iPhone dropping calls, but not Skype to the iPhone. I called AT&T and of course they don't have an answer. Anyone hear of this or have a possible solution?
