International exchange policy - any input/experiences of how it goes?

Hey guys,

I´m going to buy the rmbp 13" i7/8/256 because i need it shipped before the 12th because it´s when i leave the states (it´s worth for me to buy it here, rather than at home - portugal (because of taxes etc.)).

However, in portugal, there is no apple store, only authorized sellers.. if i feel that the 8gb of ram isn´t enough for me, can i return it and order the 16gb of ram there? or i could only exchange it in the states?
