Hi All,

Curious if anyone has used their Verizon iPhone abroad to make a facetime call back to the US?

I have heard that if initiated as a facetime call, these do not require a cell signal, and will not use minutes. That said, I've heard they have to send an SMS to sync the call, so I'm unsure if it will work abroad since the Verizon iPhone is CDMA and has no signal in much of Europe, for instance. Does anyone have experience?

I suppose if you were able to make a facetime call from somewhere where you had wifi but no cell signal that would be useful info as well.

Anyone able to shine some light? Thanks!
