I had ordered an iPad Mini to go to MYUS.COM and have them hold it so I could later forward it to another address. I actually might of had them send it to someone in the USA, just depends on where I was going to be in the world at the time.

However just a day before the iPad Mini was scheduled to ship, Apple sent me an email canceling the order. It seems while Apple.com will accept the order and even let the order sit waiting to be filled for a week.. When the order is ready to be shipped it will be cancelled if it goes to the MYUS.COM address.

The ordering system accepts the order and it will even process normally but at the last moment before the shipping portion of the process is complete the automated system will cancel the order because Apple has a policy that it will not ship to anyone who might be able to act as a third party agent.

This includes MYUS.COM and others. It's not the fault of the shipping forwarding and holding company.

Just wanted to post these here incase someone else has the same issue or is looking for advise on a shipper.

Apple keeps an active list of forwarding companies and won't ship to any of them.
 
Hey Steve, I had a similar issue and called and added my MYUS shipping address as an alternate billing address and my order from Apple shipped and had no issue so the policy seems that they don't accept foreign billing address not the address in Florida. Good luck, call your credit card company and try it out....works like a charm!

You could also order your Apple products via your BORDERLINX UK address and our hub in the UK: Apple accepts this.
A lot of Apple items have already been delivered through BORDERLINX like that, to everywhere in the world :)

I think they do it because of the problems of fraud.

Also the forwarding companies don't have a very good reputation. There was another thread somewhere in the forum about it - mostly people say products disappeared.
