International surge protector/adapter?

Hello folks,

I'm planning to visit Uzbekistan/Russia area by next year and I'm trying to figure out what is the best international adapter for a Powerbook G4? I need built in surge protection but I think that the Apple International adapters don't have built-in surge protection.

Also do I need voltage conversion too?
