I think - but check - that if you purchase in a apple store, any apple store world-wide will honour the warranty.

Concerning the On-line store, thats a different matter.

And yet another matter if the store is not Apple.

I bought my last MBP on Amazon and have had warranty repairs done in South Korea. All Apple warranties are global.

Cool :) My gf goes back to SK on monday...but it is still cheaper for me to buy it in Texas ..actually i save 600e :-D...crazy right ? So the global warranty is 1y if i am correct.

BTW a little Q....is 15 inch with dgpu worth it ? I read somewhere its performance is not that great. For me the price difference between entry 15 and 15 with dgpu is 500e soo.....

I think Applecare's global too....just make sure to register your laptop with Apple so that they can look it up.

I haven't seen the 15" with a dGPU but for normal uses (internet browsing, movie watching etc) I'm happy with my 13" with an iGPU.
