Internet Conflict between MBA and Apple Cinemea Display

When I connect MBA to 23" Apple Cinema Display (ACD) the internet goes from 1500 Kbps to 60 Kbps. When doing this I do not change the location of MBA and leave the lid open. I unplug the ACD and, again, internet runs smoothly. Reconnect, and again internet stops working. :confused:
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

PS.- I do not have a network adapter so I can't know if the same would happen with Ethernet.

Mac OS X 10.5.8
Apple Cinema Display 23"
2Wire 2701HG-T Router
