I just got a 15" powerbook and am very happy with it. I am experiencing an annoyance with internet connect and would appreciate any help. I use dial-up internet and every 15 minutes internet connect opens and asks if I want to stay connected. I normally stay online for a lot longer than 15 minutes and the pop up is annoying. I have tried the internet connect help, but have not found any way to fix it.
Nothing like this happens if I am connected to high speed internet.
If anyone knows how to keep it from asking to stay connected or lengthen the time (to an hour instead of 15 minutes) I would appreciate the help.

-Go into network prefs. Select the modem connection under the Show pop-up button (if not already showing)
-At the bottom, select PPP Options. Second check box is 'prompt every_minutes to maintain connection. Deselect this box or put in '60' or whatever you want (in units of minutes).
