Hey everybody, I have an issue connecting to the internet. When I power my Mac on, my Comcast Cable Modem is already on, powered, and working. I use an ethernet cable to connect to my Mac. But now the internet never connects.

***See pics below***

It shows all three of these screen (in the network pref. pane) but usually takes 30 minutes to actually connect to the internet. what is going on?!?!

Have you received connected before?

Maybe call Comcast and ask what the deal is? I have had Comcast for about a year now and have been very happy with their customer service and help with Internet problems.

EDIT: Are you directly connected to the modem, or are you connecting through a router?
