Last Monday (the 3rd) my sister came complaining to me about how the internet wasn't working on her computer. This happens a lot, and it's always either a simple connection repair of the computer or a router restart down in the basement. I would have told her to restart the router, but the connection was working fine on my iMac, so i told her to repair her connection, and it didn't work. That computer, being the only computer that couldn't connect, i just told her to use our fathers, so she did.
a couple days later... my brother comes to me with the same problem, only on his laptop. now at the same time, my sister's computer still hasn't been reconnected. I decided it would probably come back sooner or later, for those computers were 4-5 years old. He was only interested in it for online flash games and etc., so i told him to deal with the ps2
Now i know, these computers were Microsoft XP, and my iMac is the only computer in the house running Mac OS X (1/4 computers)
Today, this connection problem has hit my iMac, and so I am left with my father's company laptop to this problem. It starts at the start of the week with one computer, to another, to another. It's not an OS problem, the computers run fine minus the internet problem. This is the only computer that has connection.
i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what could be the problem. All computers can connect, but only this one laptop has obtained a working IP address. I have no idea what's going on
