Internet Connection Sharing very slow?

Hi, I am running my windows web server on ICS, it is working fine, but when I access it on my macbook, it is very fast at first, but then it gets very slow, slower, slower, slower and BAM, it disconnects, then it goes back to the slow speed before that, and sometimes disconnects. I just want to know how to make the ICS connection faster. The XP machine connect to the router wirelessly and to my macbook wirelessly through two seperate adapters. I have been trying to connect my macbook directly to my netopia 3347W router, but no luck. I'm just wondering if I can make the ICS faster to the speed as if I was connecting directly to the router.
