macOS Internet Connection

How to find whether internet is connected or not through code. As I have to do different function depending on internet connection.Can any one help me out?

I need to know the same thing. I notice that Safari, for example, can tell immediately whether or not there's an Internet connection, how can I get my software to do that? Specifically, I'm interested in doing this with a widget, so if you have any additional information on how I could do this with a widget, I'd appreciate it.

And what language are you coding in? I'd possibly try pinging something and if I get a hit, I know I'm connected.
