i'll try to explain the best that i can translating into english and i hope you can help me.

my internet provider uses shared ip. which sucks because then i pretty much can't download anything. even when i try downloading something through torrent, it just doesn't work. at best i can get 40kbps during 2 seconds and then it's 0.1, 0.2, 1 kbps or, in other words, nothing.

but i just have to connect to their vpn that i have a "new" ip, just "mine" and it works. i did it always when i was using my old notebook and i have +3 notebooks connected to the same router and it works just fine. they all use windows.

my internet provider has the instructions to set up the vpn on their website, but not to mac. anyway, it has the IP, and login and password, so it's not like i can't configure it on mac, even thought it's my first one.

the thing is, i do everything right, i think. and it works just fine - when i go to whatsmyip.com it shows the "new one"- but for like, less then 1 minute. then the internet goes down and it only works again after i turn off/back on the router.

i saw that i could uncheck the box "send all traffic over vpn connection" and if i do this the internet doesn't go down, but then my ip address doesn't change either, so it's no use.

so, anyone know what can i do?
