internet is unstable?

So I was watching netflix and suddenly a loading bar comes up and I click refresh and finnaly refreshes after a minture and is super slow. Then I go to google "Slow internet on a mac" and that wont load. Then it started speeding up a minute later any reasons to why this would happen?

Brand new macbook pro 15" and using verizon fios

Internet Service Provider reliability (atleast in the USA) is horrid. Call 'em up and complain that you pay for a persistent internet connection, not an intermittent one

But on my pc it was fine? Hmmm and trust me my Mac is much nicer then my 4 year old Pc

Is one wired and the other wireless? Did the mac work again after you checked your PC?
