The internet on my iMac is extremely slow. It's almost like I'm on a dial-up connection, it took me a good 5 minutes to get to this point where I can even post. It's something I've just noticed these past couple weeks and I can't pinpoint why.
I bought my iMac brand new in August 2007, haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion. I am running 10.5.8. Here are some specs below.
Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac7,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: IM71.007A.B00
Is it just a matter of upgraded the OS or is there more to it? After all it is over 4 years old but this is something simple, downloads of movies and music doesn't take any longer than it always has. Your help is appreciated, thanks!
