"Do you want to remain connected".

Well, of course I do and I would like to know how to stop that box from appearing every 20 or so minutes.

I'm using dial-up.

If you go to System Preferences --> Network --> Internal Modem --> PPP --> PPP Options, is the checkbox for "Prompt every X minutes to maintain connection" checked?
