Internet on an Airplane

Thursday afternoon, I'll be flying to Florida on Continental. However, I need to register for classes online during the same time. Is there any way I can get on the internet during my flight using my iPad?

If the Airline offers Wi-Fi, yes. Otherwise there's a 99% chance no,

Lots of airlines are getting on board w/the in-flight wifi. Don't know specifically about Continental though. Might be something to ask the gate agent?

Moreover, Google is sponsoring free wifi from the end of November until January via GoGo on a few carriers (Virgin, Delta, and somebody else I never fly). It's akin to the free airport wifi they sponsored last year. You stay classy, Google.

Recently I flew on Virgin Airlines, my iPad worked very well and I enjoyed the experience.
