Hey guys, I use my computer both at home and at school. At home, the DHCP is quite buggy, and sometimes for other reasons, I am required to use a static IP, and manually set DNS addresses (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). When I go to school, there seems to be issues with the DNS connecting to local school websites, and therefore, every morning I have to set my TCP/IP to using DHCP and removing DHCP and vice versa (re-setting it all up at home). I am not able to use the static IP because at home, the IP format is 192.168.1.x, and at school, it's 10.110.x.x. So, is there anyway that my mac can automatically change TCP/IP and DNS upon changing to the network?

Thanks.

Set up 2 "locations", one for home and one for school, that way you keep each of the network preferences separate.

:apple: menu > System Preferences > Network > Location > Edit Location +

You can add as many locations as you need, then just switch the location when you move around between places.
