Internet power issue

I have a Mac Mini and it works fine unless I plug it into the internet or use the wifi. If i do the internet thing it shuts off. I Also can not blow out the Mini to fix it I have a few programs on it that can not be replaced. Can I reload only the inter card side off it, or make a full back up and load it again?
So any help would be great.
