Internet probelms on Powerbook G4

Hi,
I just bought a Powerbook G4 from my school and the internet is sparatic but it is just at my house. I went to my friends house on Friday and it worked fine and at my school it does to. When I get home it either doesn't connect or goes from four bars to two bars. I have a Macbook and that works fine with the internet. I have tried re setting the router and nothing works. I have a Linksys router. Thanks,

There may be so many reasons for this that it's hard to know where to begin. For starts, there could be a problem with your service provider. Then there could be a problem with interference. It may be your antenna or cable. Then again it could be a problem with all the above. Since it seems to be working fine at school and weak at home (not entirely dead), I'd start with calling your service provider and they'll take you through the steps of isolating a problem if it's one at their end.
