Lately I have been having a load of problems with my internet connection.

I am using BT Internet and I use a Netgear DG834G and I connect via wifi.

Sometimes I get an Address Not Found page on my browser and I'll need to reboot the router to get my internet connection up and running again. This happens on all browsers. Someone suggested that I use a different DNS and I did and I still get the same error.

Tonight I changed the channel of my wifi and the error message hasn't appeared but I won't hold my breath.

Would anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? The router is 5 years old now so I was thinking that maybe it's coming to the end of it's days. I have the most recent firmware in the router too. This problem has been happening since August / September.

This problem happens both on my Mac and my Dad's PC.

Any input is appreciated.

I agree that it sounds like your router is crapping out.

Do you think there's anything else I could try doing? I used iStumbler to check what channel the other two wireless connections in my area are using and they are on channel 6 so I changed to 11. This is really the only thing I can think of.
