Hey Everyone,

I'm having a little trouble with my internet connection. So here's the problem: My macbook can see and connect (WITH signal bars) to my wireless Linksys router BUT it won't actually connect and use the internet. I went to a friends house last night, and it worked for a bit, then the internet shut off, but his was working and he has a Macbook. This morning the internet was working fine.

I just got back home and the internet still isn't working. Like I said before, the Macbook recognizes the router and internet, but is not actually pulling up the internet. Weird thing is, my iPod Touch will not connect either, even though it recognizes and has the signal bars. What's even more odd is that my mom has a Compaq 6910p but ITS CONNECTING PERFECTLY FINE!!

Does anybody know what's going on here?

The signal strength bars are the connection to the router - it does not mean it is connected to the internet...

We need a bit more info - is there any security on the wireless side - WEP, MAC whatever.

Which country are you in for example..
