I have been wondering about this for a very long time, and i just want to be sure about this. I don't know if you guys are aware of a lot of online video streaming services, particularly websites streaming foreign media, but for some reason these seem to only play for my IPad and other devices, but not for my macbook. Technically these are devices owned by my parents but i'd be surprised if they know something i don't. For example, if i simply browse for a particular foreign video on the IPad i'm able to play it. Finding the same video on my Macbook, there seems to be regional restrictions. Why is this? My parents are playing all kinds of stuff very easily on these mobile and tv devices, but i can't do the same on my macbook!

Ask your parents ... They might have it done on purpose.

My answer as a parent, sorry. My son will get an iPad soon; with parental control.
