Okay, actually it just fixed itself (as I type this), but I don't know what it was. So here's what I'm doing... Maybe someone can help explain why it shut down on me.
Okay, since my G5 tower doesn't have a wireless card, I'm tethering it to my PowerBook G4 to share it's wireless access to our network at home. I have it hooked up through the Ethernet ports of both machines, and turned on Personal Web Sharing AND Internet Sharing over the respected ports.
My problem came as I put my G5 to sleep, when I awoke it, it didn't connect to the internet anymore. It was seem just zeroing out instantly everything I was trying to do with it. I went to Activity monitor, zero input for the network. Weird I thought, so I restarted the computer. Sometimes the internet hangs a little with this connection, and a restart fixes it, nothing. I turned all the stuff (on both computers), on and off, trying to restart things fresh, nothing.
I went to the network settings on the G5 and it was indeed getting an IP address and even the network status said it was connected, but it wasn't.
I just restarted (for probably the 10th time now) and it just randomly worked. I don't really believe it was a random thing and that it just decided "hey, I think I'm going to start working now, just to spite him". I mean, come on, they're not THAT smart? OR.... are... they.....?>
