I have been using internet sharing perfectly well but it has stopped for no apparent reason.
I use leopard as my main os on a mac pro and share my connection via ethernet port 2 to an iBook running tiger.
It's being assigned an IP (192.168.xxx.xxx) and my Mac Pro (connected to the router) has the correct IP (129.xxx.xxx.xxx).
Shouldn't the iBook also have an IP starting with 129? I can't understand why it has stopped working.
I had similar troubles getting it to work first time but after some restarting of both ibook and mac pro and unplgging cables etc i got it going, but now it's gone again?
help appreciated
(PS - no System settings have changed - internet sharing, web sharing, file sharing etc are all on)
