Dear all,

I've recently purchased a mac mini as non pc option for work and all is working well except internet sharing to enable a WiFi signal for my iPhone.

When I first set it up all is well and the icon changes from the usual airport waves to the up arrow.

However if I leave the room and return it seems the iPhone looses the signal and won't repair with the Internet sharing.

If I go back into sharing preferences, disable and restart internet sharing all is well but this is a bit of a pain really.

Any advice? Is this usual behaviour? Is it supposed to be a one-off type of service or could it be that there are spaces and other characters in the SSID or what?

Many thanks for your thoughts?

PS both iPhone and mac Mini are fully patched to latest versions.

You would be better off buying a cheap wireless G router. Ad hoc connections are naturally flaky at best.
