I am in a hotel and my Mac can connect to the wifi network but my iPhone can’t.

Is it possible to share my Macs wifi connection with my iPhone?

In short, no.

In order to share your connection, two connections have to be bridged - one connection connects to the internet and the other connects to any devices that need to share the connection. As such, you can only share your connection through WiFi if you are connected to the internet through another connection, such as Ethernet, FireWire, or Bluetooth.
