Super frustrated here. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro 13' i5. I'm currently in South America using a secure DSL to wireless router. Half of the time everything is a-ok. The other half the connection is painfully slow. A lot of times the signal will just cut out all together, and the computer will have to re-acquire the signal. For example everything will be okay and the signal just vanishes. Meanwhile the router is about 10` away. I have a friend here with a 2010 MBP with similar issues on his wireless, though I think they haven't been happening as much as of late.
Also, I have iStat. When I check to see how the network is doing there is a split second where it says like 580 KB/S then it goes way down to my actual slow ass speed. What's with that?
ps ~ There is an HP that uses the same network with no problems. I experience my problems regardless of weather or not I'm the only one on the network.
