Internet slow with iTunes running

MacPro 3.2ghz mid 2012
32gb RAM
brand new install of Mountain Lion w/server (only services running are File Sharing and Time Machine)

I am wanting to use the above system as a server and stream my iTunes lib to an aTV2. When iTunes is running all connections to the internet slow way down - iPad3, Android devices, and even the MacPro. Without iTunes everything is fine.

Any suggestions?
