internet tethering turning off

Internet tethering keeps turning off after I make or receive a call. When I try to log back on to the internet, Internet tethering has been turned off under settings and I need to turn it back on before I retry to tether my computer back to my iphone. I understand that the internet might disconnect during a call and I'll need to reconnect afterwards, but it is really annoying that I have to go into settings/general/network and then turn on internet tethering every time! Is there a way around this??
