internet will not work on unlocked phone?

Hey I just got an iphone unlocked for t-mobile about 2 days ago and I already called into t-mobile's customer service and got my unlimited internet feature attached to my account and they said that the internet should be able to work within 2 - 48 hours and my internet hasnt been working since I got the phone unlocked is there any way I could get my internet working by doing it myself??? please help

under Settings->General->Network->EDGE change your settings to:

APN:wap.voicestream.com
Username: (blank)
Password: (blank)
