Hi everyone,

I am announcing my new interval timer for Apple Watch, Intertime. I’ve been wanting to make an interval timer for the Apple Watch for a long time and with the launch of watchOS 6 that is finally possible. Intertime is easy to use, you just set the time you’d like to “work” for, whether that is jogging, sprinting, lifting, etc. Then you set the amount of time you’d like to rest for. Then it will simply repeat until you stop the timer. You can also 3D Touch on the work timer set-up screen to skip the work timer and just have a rest timer, this is great for strength training, where the amount of time you work for varies. Intertime is not a workout app, therefore, you still use your old workout tracker, like the built in Workout app, RunKeeper, Strava, etc. I did this because, for me personally, I love my workout apps I use already, but none of them have an interval timer capability; so I made one for any use case.

Intertime is $0.99 on the Apple Watch App Store, I have included 10 promo codes for MacRumors users, below. I believe with independent Watch apps, you should enter the promo code on your iPhone and then install the app via the App Store on your Watch, or maybe it downloads automatically? We'll find out!

THX, added a code on the phone and started the download on the watch.

Thanks for the promo code. I also find the interval option missing from most workout apps. Yours is clean, simple. & easy to use. Do you have plans to enable end of timer notifications? With that it would be very useful.

Thank you! Which timer would you find a notification helpful? The work, rest, or have like a general total time set and then notify you when that's complete?

If I'm doing a run/walk interval with the built-in workout app, the workout app maintains focus, so it would be nice if the interval app could give notification at the end of each rest and work cycle. Your app could literally have many uses.

Thanks! Can’t wait to try this out! Used one of the codes. I often like to do sprint workouts and this has been a hole in the market for sure! What about watchOS 6 allowed this? Swift UI?

Thanks for the code! Hopefully you'd appreciate some feedback in return.
  • I didn't realise that you could use the Crown to set the time initially. Maybe you could make that more obvious?
  • The timer didn't start a second set after the first one had finished. Is this supposed to happen?
