Hi !!!

I belong to a historic society and throughout the year we are going to have conferences and will also do some interviews. We want to record these conferences and interviews with the best possible quality. We have even bought, (if needed), a preamp and an omnidirectional mic. After the recording is done, we want to divide the whole recording session into smaller parts, so they can be tagged.

The question is, what software do you recommend to do the recordings.

Since these recordings may last up to a few hours, we want work with an ibook and a software that may be able to do the following:

that the recordings may be be recorded as MP3 or WAV;

that they may also be able to be divided into smaller parts;

that they may be able to be tagged with names that are easy to to remember;

that the smaller parts, after being tagged, may be easily found, if I happen to browse looking for them on the ibook or in an MP3 player.

Thank you,

ignacio molina,
igmolinav.
