Intetnet sharing any type of encryption other than WPA2

I'm trying to set up a wifi network for my PowerBook G3 pismo, which as you know cannot connect to WPA2 whatsoever. Well, in system prefs it doesnt let me enable internet sharing with anything other than WPA2. WTH??

Is there any way around this?
