Hello!
Years ago macrumors.com hat a messenger bag called "Journeyman Leather Messenger Bag" from Intrepid Bag Co as a give away:

https://www.macrumors.com/2015/05/15/macrumors-giveaway-intrepid-bag-co/ for US citizens.

Nowadays I would need something similar, for carrying documents and my MBP on my bike but it seems to be out of stock and the company has been renamed or closed down and someone has taken over the domain.

My question is, can I still get that bag somewhere, or does somebody have suggestions for something similar? Especially the attachment of the belt was different than on all other bags I have seen so far and seems to make it a lot easier to carry it on the back.

Thanks for replies and suggestions!

Hi, I'm KaliYoni and I'm a backpack and messenger bag addict. I own way too many bags.

But to your question...if the ability to sling your bag diagonally across your back is what you're looking for, pretty much any serious messenger bag maker offers that design. The key is a releasable buckle and a strap adjuster near one of the shoulder strap attachment points. These two additions allow you to raise and lower one side of the bag quickly and easily. A traditional shoulder strap, on the other hand, is intended to keep the bag horizontal near your waist.

A fun place to get messenger bags is Timbuk2 because they offer a build-to-order service. You get to specify pretty much every aspect of your bag using an online interactive design tool. Then Timbuk2 makes it for you in its San Francisco factory. Or if you don't want to spend the $$$ for a custom build, Timbuk2 has a full line of ready made messenger bags as well.
